Character education should put back the School Day

In a modern age where our children are learning their core values television, rap music, Britney Spears, video games, and SpongeBob … is becoming more important than ever for primary schools to spend a small part their week focused on the development of character education skills. Frankly, I refuse to believe that pop culture can do a better job of educating and training our children from our parents and teachers. For better or for worse, the Kiddos sitting in classrooms around the country are the leaders and taxpayers of tomorrow … and would prefer that no mention was "Bakugan Battle Brawlers the" core training for ethics!

However, many elementary schools do not have time to spare for the character education, due to increasing pressures and demands of standardized testing. Testing standards and accountability are important aspects of building systems healthy public schools, but schools are struggling to keep up with new academic rigorous testing standards. As a direct result, education character often compressed weekly schedule.

Character Education programs that require little time investment

Instead of sending the character education of the school week, schools must find creative and innovative ways of understanding back in! Honestly, I prefer have our kids build core values of our teachers and public schools Nickelodeon iCarly! In fact, many character education programs readily available that require little time investment by the school staff – and these programs do a very nice job of reaching an entire campus.

Among the simple, time-to-use and highly effective ways to reach a campus with the programming of high quality education of characters includes Project Wisdom. This program has been around since 1992 and focuses on short vignettes that are read every day during morning announcements over the PA school system. The good thing about this program character is that it only takes a few minutes a day to implement and requires no further instructions from teachers.

Another great way to add programming character education in its first week of school is playing radio shows animated short on the school PA system. Used one day a week for ads morning, the teachers were not asked to carry the burden of the preparation of additional classes or having to sacrifice time from their academic programs. In addition, programs character education, such as radio Achiever allow a comprehensive school with the investment of a few total minutes per week. Entrepreneur Radio Program also helps to develop listening skills weak student … This is a skill that has been horribly lost in this day and age of rich video!

If we do not answer the call of characters … Pop Culture Will

The rise of standardized testing and academic responsibility are steps to improve the schools of our nation and shape this country a world leader in education. But we simply can not allow these measures increase to come at the expense of developing students with high moral and ethical character. And if we are unable to answer the call and make time to build the school day the nature of pop culture with pleasure … will continue to shape students to us.
