In need help with this girl?

So I'm with friends with this girl at school. We just met this year but has really hit it off. We as best friends. The problem is that I kinda like her more. I'm not sure if she knows, probably because if the birthday gift I gave, but maybe it one of those clueless "girls. The gift I gave her a rose and some chocolates in a bag of SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob because he likes). By the way, I'm 19 and she 21. We have the same principal. We stayed a couple of times with friends. We text a lot and have long phone conversations (like 2 + hours lol). We have much in common also (religous / political views, etc..) I think I have to say that I like but I do not want to scare away because I really value your friendship and would not change for the world! How I can do this? And by the way, none of us has ever been in a relationship. I'm a big guy and she is beautiful! And she has a great personality as well. Please help me out!

If the same exact problem with my last few years. I asked her out in the end, one that we stayed together for over a year and are still friends. The only way to find out is to simply ask her out. If you can not possibly regret it later when someone else does. Just take the chance!
