Caring for roses?

Ok I like this girl and her birthday is this Sunday. I will not see it this weekend, Im going to give a gift tomorrow. im little hope that she sees this as a romantic gift and track that I like it and would like to be in a relationship. im giving a red rose, a box of chocolates and it will be in a gift bag SpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob likes even though it is delivering 21-I think that's very nice). What I have to make the Rose Not I know nothing about flowers, I need to know what to do with it as soon as you leave the store where I bought it. Also also, I have to carry around all day (We're in college) and ensure their safety. I think Im going the whole dressed in a brown paper bag, with some im that ill see her before she walked your car at the end of the day, when ill give it. also too, what do you think the idea of his gift?
