Sponge Bob is a character baby?!?

I http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spongebob SB / SP really a baby / toddler / child preschool character? I see everything from crib bedding to child clothing preschooler, from the dishes and utensils to toys and games! I do not see this character as appropriate for my child of 2 and 4 years old – and yet is everywhere … What is your personal opinion? My personal opinion show … It's for kids tweens (7-13ish) – The mood is not stupid … and, in general, the show is not horrible, but it just does not seem appropriate for the age preschool and crowd … My kids watch PBS, and Backyardigans (DVD) … a film of a few … My sister, however, is always trying to put SB / SP in home for them (although I said that they can not see it) … Just drives me crazy: -)

SB I also think is not appropriate for little kids really. Not I let my 7 years old, see, because I think it's gross and stupid and they are much better ways you can be spending their time. Of course, not let him play video games or see nothing but films suitable for all ages, and I think the only father I know of around here that makes things so unthinkable!
