Steve Sheriff

Steve Sheriff

Sheriff Steve is a cheerful underwater Hidden Object game with a good mix of inventory puzzles and a variety of mini-games. Fifteen buildings with several rooms offer enough attention, and smart updates to "find the differences" puzzle complete the package. Excellent integration between different types of games give the game a fresh feeling.

Sponge Bob would be at home in Neptuneville, a small town inhabited by Western jellyfish squid, sharks and other denizens of deep water. logic applies cartoon: the sheriff smoke cigarettes under water, a lovely lady medusa company maintains the shrimp in an aquarium, the local museum dedicated to the cowboy tradition. But, like SpongeBob, all the works, and much of the fun comes from small details in every scene. Steve is after a gang of thieves who committed a spree of the night a citywide crime usually sleep, including theft of the statue of Neptune from the Town Square.

Game adapting the new genre of hidden object combined with point and click adventure. Find articles Search using a typical, but some go in the inventory to be used later. Sheriff Steve goes a step further than most recent titles, full merger of the two activities. For example, you may have to find items to repair a generator which can turn on the lights – and then, once the lights are on, find objects in a new discovery list for the same scene.

The game also does well in showing only part of an object and still remains recognizable. Whether at the fingertips of a glove or the right of a key you can still say clearly what it is, but makes the search hidden objects, both challenging and rewarding. Objects are especially suited to their proper shape and size, a good change of 16 feet and miniature paddles Eiffel towers that some pigs used to confuse players.

Many places to start a game of finding the differences, which allow comparison of configuration Steve before and after the crime wave. This gives clues to the overall mystery while trying to locate the statue of Neptune. The game really shines here. Most Find previous games differences fell into one of two categories. In one, the differences are a simple presence / absence test, with a view with a candle in another had an empty shelf. The other was by small differences, a garment sometimes a little different, a little longer hem.

Steve updates Sheriff of the genus with many differences to trick the brain, but no eye strain. A book is in the same place, but is open at a point of view, closed in the other. Two similar brown hats have their positions reversed from one view to the next. A mermaid statue in a statue of Buddha is each other. Finding these differences offers the same kind of satisfaction and quality hidden object game.

The mini-games are not memorable, but even more variety. In several rooms, is necessary to find the multiples of an object, for example, 10 tubes of paint. Find the last of these usually opens a minigame with a related topic. These include some puzzle games, matching pairs, sequences of patterns, and some more. Everything can be skipped without penalty.

The game is not without flaws. Instructions could be clearer in some areas. There are some translation errors ("The Lamp" is used consistently for the "bulb") but the hint system has a feature that helps overcome silhouette. Two of the rooms share the same annoying fault. You have to find multiples of an object, and although he was only asked to find 10, you can have 14 in the room. This only seems to be an error to the maximum.

The game has only one penalty points for minor inaccuracies, but it's still irritating. However, there is a problem throughout the game. If you are looking for 10 bottles and one click is not accepted, just go ahead and click on another. There is very limited replay value because the objects are always in the same place. However, this can be forgiven a game that is this satisfaction the first time.

However, Steve the sheriff zx a fun game to play, and an impressive achievement in the integration of several different playing styles. Both objects hidden in order partial disclosure, and find the differences achieve real progress in the game. It does not feel new, but it feels fresh, and players who enjoy these genres can be installed in a very entertaining game of average length.
