Plot Introduction

The End of the World began on Thursday night in October, just after eight o'clock in the evening The Amok is driving people out of their minds, turning them into zombies and causing riots in the streets. A solitary dinner leaves a restaurant in Cardiff its mission to protect the Principal leading him to a secret base beneath a water tower. Everyone has a headache, something in Davey Morgan shed, and church Santa Maria in the dust, demolished in 1840, has reappeared but not due until 2011. Torchwood seem to be out of his depth. What does all this mean for the romance between Torchwood's newest members?

Captain Jack Harkness has something more to worry about: an alarm and early warning, given to mankind and inert in the hands of Torchwood for 108 years. And now it is intermittent. Something is coming. Or something is already here.

Argument

October, 8:00 pm. Torchwood responds to a peak power of the foreigner in the heart of Cardiff, Tosh has been following the energy signature for some time, but has risen sharply over what the team member James Mayer calls the end of the world, or 26 on a scale of 1 to 10. People is stumbling through the streets near the river, talking about abstract numbers and bright blue lights, ramblings spitting out the stream of consciousness, and the song "Grande big big. The Torchwood team rush the Amok back to the containment box in his truck, throwing it from person to person as a relay so that no team member is exposed her for a long time. As James comes to the truck, however, is beaten by a police car to investigate violations of the disturbance. PC Young Pedro Picknall falls under the influence of Amok, when he leaves his car to see James, but Owen himnly dominates fall under the influence himself. When James tries to take the Amok him, Owen points his gun at James, saying it is their turn. Meanwhile, the crowd milling about Gwen is pushed into the river, and as Jack pulled back to safety, Amok feel the influence of cutting. By the time they reach the truck, James has mastered Amok Owen and sealed in the containment box. The rest of the crowd, too returns to normal, stunned and not knowing what's just happened to them.

Shiznay Uhma, a waitress at the restaurant of Mughal dynasty, has been the development of a regular customer in love with his Mr. Dine, but can tell there's something strange about him. This night, suddenly stood up after dinner is served, claiming he received a call to protect the Director. Shiznay father is out to stop him before he has paid, and Mr. throws Dine out of the way with a gesture and exits the restaurant. Shiznay what is outside, but no trace of it when it arises from the motion blur restaurantut an impossible distance away, which surely must have been his imagination … Mr. Coma finally rejects the call as a hoax, but those who spent too much power to investigate and accident in the alley behind the restaurant to recover their strength. He has been keeping in his shed, while deciding what to do with him, and he finally decides to take home. Along the way, it is mocked and bullied by a group of young vandals. That night, he dreams of war, and he has nightmares about what is worse stick figures stalking the landscape in a much more terrible conflict. When wakes up, realizes that he shared the dreams of the thing of the ship, as they are too much for him to handle, apologizes to the thing and the wheels back to the ship. He stop off at the library a book on modern art before he returns home, young people are waiting again, but the units with a bayonet that he kept of war. Once alone, looks through the book and confirms the impression that the figures in his dream reminded him of a statement his wife had taken in the exhibition 1969n articulated humanoid figures carved in metal wire.

Toshiko Amok seals behind a firewall physical force fields, but she and Owen are still suffering from mild headaches due to its influence. Davey has taken the thing at home while he tries to figure out what to do, but when Owen is facing, the thing he perceives as a threat. Jack, Gwen and James arrive just in time to see a massive explosion out the front of Davey Morgan housend other hand, Mr. Coma receives another activation signal …

Owen, Tosh and Davey is able to wriggle out of the explosion, and when Jack arrives, is horrified to recognize his attacker as a G Series Melkene robot soldier. Faced with defeat in a long and cruel war, the panic and desperation Melkene has created a line of robot warriors mercilessly psychotic murderers willing to commit any atrocity in order to win. After the war, the shame Melkene tried to remember the line, and were extinct within six weeks. Jack orders have Ianto Tosh search article 981 of the File Catalog, while he and the others try to keep the series G contained, however, the robot is too powerful for them to handle. James tries to distract the robot to avoid going after Jack, and ends up running for his life that more rapid later realizes that somehow climb a wall seven feet high, without realizing it.
